There are food lovers. Then there are food nerds. Our market staff is not only friendly, but they’re downright knowledgeable about the food. Through hands-on training, workshops with food artisans, and a sheer love of the good stuff, Caputo’s staff strives to provide customers with the best flavors from around the world as well as local producers.
When you visit the shop, it’s perfectly fine to ask for a sample of the Cheese of the Week or something that catches your eye from our Cheese Cave. Have a question about olive oils? Our folks will help you find the perfect one by sampling and explaining each bottle.
You get the picture. So go ahead and ask us for a question. Or a sample. We’d be happy to help.
Voted "Best Sandwiches" - Readers pick
Best of Utah 2013- First things first: Tony Caputo’s deli sandwiches are generously portioned, so thank goodness they come in both whole and half sizes. Most popular is, of course, the Caputo, “a taste of Cosenza, Italy,” with prosciutto, mortadella, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. But there’s more to the delicious deli sammiches at Caputo’s than just Italian-style hoagies. For example, don’t overlook the outstanding muffuletta, which even the most discerning New Orleans native would approve of. And, when the eggplant Parmesan is available, it’s the best in town.
